Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff and ensure compliance with policies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and address gaps with counseling or termination if needed.
• Set pay recommendations and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings and events.
• Open/close the store reliably at least twice per week; ensure staffing.
• Monitor sales, profitability and inventory; manage expenses and shrink.
• Oversee stock planning, replenishment and cycle counts weekly.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing and signage presentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory, damages, and cash controls.
• Ensure cashier accountability and security practices; support customer service leadership.
