Job summary

Food Lion in Edenton, NC is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will manage staff, training, budgets, inventory, safety, and compliance while embodying Food Lion's guiding principles.

This role requires strong store operations expertise and leadership to develop associates across departments; you will also serve as Manager on Duty and partner with leadership to meet financial goals.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or able to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's guiding principles and values.
• Maintain customer service focus with emphasis on quick, friendly service.
• Control store funds and assets and ensure safety and security standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and food safety standards.
• Utilize tools like ACIS, CAO, scheduling, and reporting for operations.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is not present.
