Job summary

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and fast, easy service
• Ensure control of store funds and assets
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; ensure safety standards
