ALDI USA in Akron is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store activities, supervise the team, manage schedules, and help drive store performance with operational action plans.

You will identify training opportunities, model ALDI's values, communicate with the team, monitor the local market, ensure product freshness and accurate signage, and help meet payroll and loss targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training opportunities to develop team performance.
• Model company values and foster teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Provide product feedback to leadership on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and manage customer service standards.
• Maintain inventory, signage, and cash control policies.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities and escalate issues as needed.
