Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and the ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform tasks that require frequent walking, standing, and movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team environment and demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store frontage
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect store assets including cash and adhere to safety policies
• Assist Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation
• Other duties as assigned
