Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Wisconsin LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Oshkosh, WI. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store standards are met.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with prior retail or grocery management preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure store areas are neat, tidy, and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
