Job summary

PetSmart in the United States is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive store-wide operational excellence. You will oversee merchandising and inventory, pet care operations, opening/closing duties, and leadership of store associates to uphold our standards and safety.

This role emphasizes team development, training, performance feedback, and ensuring a positive pet-parent experience through efficient processes and strict adherence to Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications and POS systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills for a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide associates in merchandise handling and presentation standards.
• Train, onboard, mentor, and coach for growth; provide performance feedback.
• Delegate daily tasks and supervise leaders on duty.
• Oversee store opening/closing procedures and daily operations.
• Manage inventory, audits, stock replenishment, and markdowns.
• Operate POS systems and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Ensure adherence to Policies, Procedures and Code of Ethics.
• Maintain pet care standards and ensure a safe, healthy environment.
