Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. seeks a Key Carrier at Sierra with a leadership-oriented role. You will alternate as Coordinator and Key Carrier, covering store operations and providing coaching to Associates, including opening/closing procedures and ensuring policy compliance.

Open availability, including nights and weekends, is required. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, team supervision, and adherence to labor laws and safety standards at the Watchung NJ store.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
