Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Key Carrier to join our team. This elevated role alternates with Coordinator duties, with leadership in store operations, customer service, and policy adherence. Open availability including nights and weekends is required.

You will model outstanding service, coach Associates, oversee coverage, and ensure procedures and safety standards are followed while supporting store goals and daily execution.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

• Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.

• 1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience including opening and closing stores.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Acts as Manager on Duty adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensures store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to Associates
• Exercises discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers
• Maintains accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures
• Ensures opening/closing procedures are executed according to company guidelines
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Provides feedback, recognition and coaching to Associates
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
