Job summary

At Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Operations to support the Store Manager in leading operational, financial, and team functions in a large-format store. You will drive store performance, develop leaders, and ensure a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership in a high-volume retail setting, managing teams of 20+ and $5M+ annual revenue, with strong coaching, scheduling, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience in big-box/high-volume retail.
• Proven experience leading teams of 20+ Team Members and managing $5M+ annual revenue/budget.
• Knowledge of freight processes, inventory control, stocking, merchandising, and safety.
• Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering in-store experience.
• Strong integrity, reliability, and ethical business practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience using HRIS and workforce scheduling systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals; deliver a customer-focused experience.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength and succession plans.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to improve performance and growth.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy aligned with financial metrics.
• Plan and oversee operations including opening/closing and front-end processes.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising to maintain in-stock conditions and visual standards.
• Lead efforts in customer satisfaction, shrink control, safety, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Address team and customer concerns with urgency, professionalism and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment and lead regular team huddles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
