MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager for the OFallon MO Store - Hwy K. This hourly full-time position reports to store leadership and supports store operations, staff supervision, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• One year of management experience; prior Goodwill retail/warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid MO or IL driver’s license and insurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Leadership skills include decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving; ability to motivate and lead employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in overseeing store operations, resources, and budgets to meet/exceed goals.
• Model core values and maintain a safety-conscious, ethical store culture.
• Supervise, direct, and train staff; ensure essential functions are performed.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor/shoppers retention and de-escalate dissatisfaction.
• Coach and counsel employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties to achieve operational tasks and identify employees for advancement.
