Job summary

Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is seeking a Retail Supervisor to assist with store and donation center operations, motivate the team, and support merchandising efforts to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. You will coach employees, manage cash controls, oversee POS coverage, and ensure safety and asset protection while maintaining clean, well organized spaces.

This role requires flexibility, weekend availability, and a focus on community engagement and donor relations to maximize

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to complete and retain forklift certification.
• Work varied schedule with a minimum of two closing shifts per week and every other weekend as scheduled. Additional nights and weekend shifts may be required to meet business needs.
• Must have working phone that allows for communication accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage own work to reliably complete routine responsibilities.
• Close supervision for completion of routine work with detailed instructions when needed.
• Understand and apply the fundamentals of customer service.
• Serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community and participates in volunteer opportunities as schedule allows.
• Maximize the value of donated goods and maintain production and store environment standards.
• Coordinate proper rotation of goods to ensure a continuous flow of new merchandise.
• Assist with training and coaching of all employees to reach their potential and oversee adequate POS coverage.
• Assist with hiring process of associates; complete phone screens and training as needed.
• Function as a service experience leader; operate register, assign tills, maintain customer flow and cash controls.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment; ensure equipment safety and proper work practices.
• Work with Store Management to conduct loss prevention activities following policies.
• Accurately complete required reports on time and share insights with leadership.
• Communicate and implement policies; report concerns to leadership.
• Plan and organize work assignments to increase customer service and protect assets.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
