Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support the Store Team Leader in processing and merchandising donations and new merchandise.

The role shares leadership duties when serving as Leader on Duty (LOD) to ensure safety, sales, production, programs, and services meet standards, and partners with Donated Goods Retail Administration, People Resources, and Workforce Development to align with the organization's mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to be trained and take direction.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to use a calculator to add and subtract numbers.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable

Responsibilities

• Meets minimum daily quota for assigned department of 12 Gaylords or more and 1,300 pounds or more.
• Inspects donated merchandise, analyzes quality and determines proper category.
• Tallies each Gaylord processed and records weights.
• Records ending weights at day end and starting weights for next day.
• Safeguards company property and reports theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession.
• May cross-trained to work as warehouse employee and/or forklift operator.
• Maintains a clean work environment per directives.
• Follows safety rules and uses safety equipment; reports hazards.
