Job summary

Dollar Tree in Stockbridge, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will supervise, train, and develop store associates while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, merchandise flow, loss prevention, and maintaining store displays. A strong focus on customer service, communication, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment; strong customer service and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering and handling merchandise; record-keeping and loss prevention duties.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom; secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies; supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Handle cleanliness tasks including bathrooms, floors, and trash; keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
