Job summary

Dollar Tree in Stone Mountain, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention to maintain a safe, customer‑focused environment.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, training staff, and ensuring policies are followed while delivering strong service and a friendly experience to customers and leaders alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
