Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Knoxville, TN to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and maintain store conditions and merchandising standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to supervise and train Store Associates while ensuring a positive, safe, and efficient shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and climbing.
• Reading, interpreting, and explaining operational directives is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address their questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and stocked stockroom.
