Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Knoxville, TN to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, ensure a positive customer experience, and help organize merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor while maintaining stockrooms and seasonal areas. A proactive approach to safety, training, and loss prevention is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and staff adhere to procedures.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
