Job summary

Dollar General seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and prepare deposits.

You will also perform stocking and cashiering, assist with scheduling and training, implement planograms, control inventory, and help maximize profitability while safeguarding assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open or close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and store compliance.
• Maintain inventory, restock merchandise, and build displays.
