Job summary

CubeSmart Self-Storage is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead daily store activities, develop customer relationships, meet monthly sales goals, and manage leasing, payments, and basic upkeep. You will walk the property, supervise staff, and ensure invoices and reports are processed accurately.

You’ll enjoy daytime hours with some locations offering Sunday hours, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and affordable health plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office products.
• You must have the ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Developing customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
• Interacting face to face with customers, providing excellent service, and building rapport.
• Meeting monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walking the property to perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Working both independently and on a team renting self-storage spaces, selling store merchandise, managing the leasing process, accepting payments utilizing our POS system, completing daily bank deposits, and making courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
• Managing the invoice review and approval responsibilities within database.
• Processing invoices, managing reports and legal process of auctions.
• Overseeing the store’s expense budget while maintaining store supplies and retail inventory.
• Physical requirements include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the store grounds, opening and closing of storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
• Keeping a clean and safe storage facility to ensure conditions meet company guidelines.
