Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead customer service, supervise staff, and manage daily store operations in Idaho. You will assist with scheduling, training, merchandising, inventory control and bank deposits, while upholding company policies and protecting assets.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and cash-handling skills, with a focus on profitability and loss prevention in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers, operate the cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and providing training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and building displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork and controls.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms; ensure merchandise is presented per standards and directions.
• Support store financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, cash handling and deposits; authorize refunds and overrides, count tills, deposit money.
• Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
