Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and to assist with supervision of employees, merchandising, and deposits. The role includes stocking, cashier duties, and supporting profitability and loss prevention efforts.

You will work under the Store Manager to ensure store standards, customer satisfaction, and cash handling integrity are maintained. Prior retail and supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment and supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Assist in stock management, merchandising, and planogram execution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cash control procedures.
• Support Store Manager in the manager's absence.
