Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC in Holiday, FL is seeking a part-time store associate to support daily store operations and deliver friendly customer service. You will assist with merchandising, help customers, and participate in standard store tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include organizing stock, processing directives, maintaining displays, and supporting the Store Manager in training staff while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
