Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and supervise associates to maintain a safe, efficient environment.

The role requires strong communication, leadership potential, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Prior retail management experience is preferred; the position is full-time and on-site at a Florida location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store front aesthetics.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
