Family Dollar Stores Of Florida LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced Florida retail setting. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized and displays are maintained.

The role involves opening/closing duties, staff supervision, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a safe, friendly store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged merchandise, records (including payroll, scheduling, cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow safety policies and ensure staff adherence.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
