Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a people-first Lead for our store leadership team, focused on delivering the best service and providing direction to teammates. This role reports to support daily store operations and uphold brand standards to empower athletes and teammates alike.

The Lead role requires flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays, with prior retail or customer-focused experience preferred.

Qualifications

Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
All Teammates are required to adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Additionally, as business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of their store department.
Plan and organize with guidance from Assistant Store Manager; build plans to execute projects and tasks.
Uphold and maintain brand, merchandising, and presentation standards.
Compliance with loss prevention standards and audit requirements.
Support building and hiring a strong team and train associates on procedures and programs.
As needed, take on other tasks to support the team and the store.
Leads by example to ensure a great customer experience and coach teammates in real time.
Communicate clearly and build trust with teammates in the store.
Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
