Job summary

Dollar General in Shreveport, LA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits and paperwork.

You will also help with scheduling, training, safety, cash handling, and planogram execution to protect assets and maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash registers and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate POS to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days a week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for staff.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, rotating, and displays.
• Assist inventory control and reduce losses through proper procedures.
• Support planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Maintain financial integrity with cash handling, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist in store leadership in the Store Manager's absence.
