Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Louisiana to help run a clean, customer-focused store under the Store Manager’s direction. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention while delivering excellent service and profitability.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, opening/closing, stocking, cashiering, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience with supervisory exposure is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy adherence.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and refunds.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager’s absence.
