Job summary

Dollar Tree in San Pablo, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day store activities, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor and back stock areas.

With strong communication and leadership skills, you will assist in training staff, processing merchandise, and upholding company policies while delivering friendly service to customers and protecting assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
