Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Hazlehurst, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, support opening and closing procedures, and help supervise and train store associates. This role requires strong communication and a high-energy, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent physical activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
