Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role supports the Store Manager and leads associates to deliver friendly, efficient service in a busy retail environment.

You will contribute to merchandising, payroll, scheduling, loss prevention, and safe, clean store standards while delivering a positive shopping experience for customers. Part-time, on-site in Grove Hill, AL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
