Job summary

Dollar Tree in Mary Esther, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise staff.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to safety. You’ll perform opening/closing tasks, follow directives, maintain clean, well-stocked floors, and foster a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation
• Other duties as assigned
