Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent.
• Approval from store manager or district manager required.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in achieving favorable customer shopping experience.
• Lead merchandising and operating initiatives with the store team.
• Develop action plans based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities and create timely solutions for implementation.
• Model customer service excellence and resolve associate/customer issues.
• Manage total store operations in the store manager's absence.
• Aim to meet/exceed sales, wage budgets and profit budgets.
• Drive sales by working with department managers to maximize profits and reduce shrink.
• Participate in regular store-level financial discussions on budgets.
• Communicate information to associates to ensure duties are carried out.
• Liaise with store/district managers on program effectiveness and plans.
• Assist staffing to reduce turnover and increase retention.
• Provide performance feedback to department heads and associates.
• Help manage labor and supply costs daily to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with laws and enterprise policies.
