Job summary

Kroger in Indiana is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead day-to-day store operations and develop a high-performing team focused on delivering outstanding customer service and strong EBITDA results.

You will coach associates, drive sales, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with food safety and store standards while upholding Kroger's values of respect, honesty, and safety. This role requires leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Proficient in basic math for cash handling and inventory management.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leader and team in creating a favorable customer shopping experience through store conditions and service.
• Lead planning, implementation, and execution of merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Identify opportunities with team, develop timely solutions and action plans.
• Drive sales with team to maximize profits, reduce shrink, and improve department contributions.
• Assist in regular store financial performance discussions including budgets and targets.
• Analyze competitive landscape and respond with action plans.
• Coordinate division merchandising plans and ensure execution across departments.
• Provide feedback to Store Leader, Area Leader, and Director of Operations on plans and programs.
