Job summary

Family Dollar in Enfield, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities and help train Store Associates to uphold store standards.

The role focuses on merchandise organization, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring a positive, safe customer experience. Expect collaboration, accountability, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and reading/comprehension of operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks repeatedly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
