Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager-on-Duty/Crew Supervisor to lead store operations and guest experiences in Wichita. You will supervise associates, train staff, and ensure efficient cash handling and safety protocols while maintaining high customer service standards.

The role requires prior management experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. The position offers an hourly starting wage and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensuring each guest has a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates; ensure duties are performed effectively and customer service is excellent.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed; manage store operations, staff, customer service, and urgent issues.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, ensure smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including trash, cleaning, and stock room upkeep.
