Job summary

Dollar Tree in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing procedures, merchandising, and training Store Associates to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

You will lead daily tasks, enforce company policies, assist with payroll and scheduling, and ensure promotional displays and loss prevention practices are followed, contributing to our store's success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Assist Store Manager with training and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
