Job summary

Big O Tires in Springdale, AR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to supervise daily store operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and support the Store Manager with financial and inventory duties. The role requires 18+ years old, retail or automotive sales experience, and the ability to learn and lead a team.

You will help manage scheduling, promotions, and service recommendations while maintaining store standards and compliance. This position is on site in Springdale.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain the state appropriate Motor Vehicle Inspection license within one year of hire.
• Previous experience in retail or automotive sales or service.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averages and percentages.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license for moving customer vehicles in and out of the shop area.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
• Ability to move and position self to retrieve product weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with customers and staff and motivate employees to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Ensure opening and closing of location according to store hours.
• Perform store operations including customer service, sales, shop management, and office duties.
• Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products.
• Perform vehicle inspections, print maintenance requirements, and prioritize needed products with customers and management.
• Assist in training and execution of company programs, policies, and procedures.
• Support the Store Manager with financial aspects including reviewing P&L, balance sheets, payroll projections, accounts receivable, and cash handling.
• Monitor employee productivity and assist in inventory replenishment and month-end counts.
• Prepare reports and participate in weekly store meetings to review safety, policies, and product changes.
• Help manage ticket averages and profitability and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
