Job summary

Family Dollar in Warren, OH is seeking a dedicated team member for full-time store operations. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and support opening/closing tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement including walking, standing, stooping and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, record payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
