Job summary

Five Below in Springfield, IL is hiring for a store supervisor/shift lead role focused on delivering the WOW customer experience. You will train crew, oversee daily activities, manage stock, and step in as Manager on Duty when needed to keep store operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of management experience, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact and trains crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience to ensure fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates to ensure performance and customer service excellence.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock for fast placement on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing procedures including cash handling, doors, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and product knowledge.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs general store maintenance including cleaning and stock room upkeep.
