Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and leadership. You will oversee scheduling, customer service, merchandising, and compliance to ensure smooth operations and a positive shopping experience.

You will lead and develop associates, monitor store performance, and uphold company standards while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of store or assistant store manager experience in retail.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively to associates.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations in retail settings.

Responsibilities

• Leads Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by reducing steps and touches.
• Assist in analyzing store reports to evaluate expenses and performance.
• Communicate variances to Store Manager regarding standards.
• Ensure proper scheduling of associates to meet business needs.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Accept special assignments from Leadership and payroll duties as needed.
• Payroll administration including punch edits, scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll, and reporting.
