Job summary

The role involves assisting the Store Manager in training staff, maintaining clean facilities, securing assets, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional front fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Create a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
