Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise daily store activities and drive performance. You will assist with scheduling, training, and developing the team to execute operational plans and maintain high standards of service.

The role requires strong leadership, retail experience, and the ability to communicate clearly with staff. You will help manage payroll, loss prevention, and merchandising while upholding ALDI’s values in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training opportunities to improve performance.
• Model company values and foster teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling and cash control policies are followed.
• Resolve store operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
• Identify hazards and maintain store equipment and ergonomic safety.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage.
