Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily duties, merchandise handling, and supervision of associates to maintain a safe, clean, and inviting store environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork and the ability to manage inventory, perform opening/closing tasks, and implement corporate directives. Part-time options may apply depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; able to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and reports related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, payroll records, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety and company policies; support Store Manager and develop associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
