Job summary

Ames Tool Corporation – Nashville is seeking a motivated Retail Associate to support the Store Manager in growing revenue and ensuring smooth operations at the Nashville location. You will greet customers, process rental and sales transactions, merchandise, conduct inventories, and assist with coverage across stores in the region.

This role requires basic math, reliable transportation, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
2–4 years of related experience.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Valid driver’s license required.
Forklift certification required in some stores after hire.

Responsibilities

Assist in the overall operation of Ames Tool Corporation – Nashville store.
Open and close the store when the Store Manager is absent.
Merchandise products and organize the showroom and rear warehouse for safe and effective material handling.
Report inventory discrepancies or customer issues to the Store Manager.
Assist with store coverage at other store locations in the region as necessary.
Maintain positive business relationships with existing Ames customers and cultivate new business opportunities with Interior Finishing Contractors in the assigned selling area.
Generate revenue growth through effective marketing of Ames tools and products, including promotion of add-on sales.
