Job summary

Ames Tools Corporation, a GMS Company, seeks an AMES Assistant Store Manager who can support daily store operations and customer service in a bilingual capacity. This role assists in revenue growth, merchandising, and coordinating with the regional team to ensure smooth store performance.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Forklift certification may be required; a valid driver’s license is also noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2–4 years related experience.
• Experience in customer service and ability to sell services is important.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred to support customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall operation of the Ames store.
• Open & close the store when the manager is absent.
• Merchandise products and organize showroom and rear warehouse.
• Report inventory discrepancies or customer issues to the store manager.
• Assist with store coverage of other locations in the region as necessary.
• Develop relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities.
