Job summary

Ames Tools Corporation, a GMS Company, is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations including tool rental, sales, inventory control, and daily financials in West Sacramento, CA. You will ensure compliance with company policies and drive revenue through effective merchandising and customer service.

Responsibilities include planning stock, managing cash handling, supervising assistants and drivers, and partnering with the merchandising team to meet market demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4+ years in store operations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required in some stores.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute actions to meet rental revenue, sales and profitability goals.
• Develop understanding of store financials to drive performance.
• Oversee store opening/closing and daily operations.
• Plan inventory to maintain stock based on market demand.
• Manage cash handling, deposits and receivables.
• Engage customers to drive repeat rental and sales.
• Merchandise showroom and manage rear warehouse for safe handling.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with delivery drivers.
