Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development in Naples, FL. You will assist with daily store activities, support customers, organize merchandise, and help implement corporate directives while maintaining displays and promotions.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills; the position also involves lifting, walking, and routine store tasks to keep a clean, efficient environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties (standing, walking, bending, reaching).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist with ordering, damaged merchandise, records, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
