Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed; frequent walking and standing.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment with strong customer focus.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash handling) and loss prevention.
• Keep the store well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including restrooms, floors and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
