Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Woodland Park, NJ to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, guiding associates, managing merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and completing opening/closing procedures.

Operational duties cover ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll records, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, organized store and compliant with company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
