Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development at our Union, NJ location.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and maintain stockrooms and displays to company standards. The role requires strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work in a high-energy team environment, and a focus on loss prevention and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and ensure policy compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, and trash removed.
